Gift with Purchase for Estee Lauder at Sears Canada

I have just been notified of another gift with purchase that's going on right now. Estee Lauder has an amazing gift at Sears right now!

As much as it's absolutely killing me, I don't need anything from Estee Lauder right now. I wish I did so bad though!! This gift is amazing!!

Clarins Gift with Purchase at the Bay

Hello everyone! I thought I'd give you the heads up if you live in Canada - basically Clarins at the Bay is on Gift with Purchase. This is absolutely perfect for me since I am out of a few things that I love. I will end up going to Burlington mall to get my products even though it's a bit of a drive since they have a Clarins aesthetician in and I have booked a facial for Saturday. I have been so stressed out and tired lately that this will be perfect for me.

I think I want the Early Wrinkle Preventers (Multi- Active) gift but have to make sure it isn't the formulation for dry skin or I will break out. If so, I will get the Age Fighters (Super Restorative) gift for my mom since she uses that line anyways. I'm looking forward to getting the full-size Gentle Refiner since I am out of my exfoliator and getting a sample of the UV Plus for the sun.

Project Pan Finale!: 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd Products Completed

So instead of trying to keep up I sort of vanished for a while. I actually finished my project pan a while ago (and went over) and just never updated it to tell you guys. Hopefully I can keep up again because I missed you guys. I don't enjoy going MIA.

The 19th product I completed was my Biotherm Skin-Ergetic Non-Stop Anti-Fatigue Moisturizer. This was a great smelling day cream that definitely helped my skin to look more awake in the morning. It was a great anti-oxidant that uses  fruit and vegetable fractions and smells like peach. I did however find that this product clogged my pores often so I was forced to used my exfoliator more often to avoid black heads. I will not re-purchase this product again.

The 20th product I completed was my Shiseido Pureness Pore Purifying Warming Scrub due to the fact that I had to exfoliate so often. I loved the warming sensation that I felt while using the scrub. I wish there were more granuals but overall it was a good product. I would definitely recommend this pore people with oily/ combination skins.

The 21st product I completed was my Neostrata Eye Contour Smoothing Cream. Although it didn't do anything for my puffiness or dark circles I felt it helped with my fine lines and yes, milia. It uses an ingredient called Gluconolactone that is a moisturizing exfoliant which is why I noticed the difference.I would not repurchase this product purely because I have puffiness and dark circles as well :)

The 22nd product I completed was the Maybelline Cream Matte Powder. I FLEW through this stuff. I've never had a powder finish on my so quickly. It definitely helped keep me matte through the say but I found that I had to be careful not to apply too much otherwise it would look very powdery. I would definitely repurchase this product when I finish some of my other powders.

And finally, the third product I finished was my Dr. Brandt's Pores No More Cleanser. The salicylic acid in this product was great in the morning if my skin had a few break-outs but it did nothing to remove make-up. I honestly think this could be replaced with a less expensive product that contains salicylic and therefore I will not be purchasing it.

What's your go-to salicylic based cleanser that is cost effective?

And this completes my Project 20 Pan.

TAG: Confessions of a Blogger

I haven't been posting a lot recently as my lift has been hectic. I was tagged by Katie to do this so I thought I might as well give it a whirl.

When did you start your blog?
I started this blog in September 2012.

What you had any online presence before?
I started blogging in 2010 under a different profile.

Why did you start blogging?
I originally started blogging because I wanted a way to feel liable and keep track of my Project Pan progress. I may have taken on a bit more than I can handle.

When did you become serious about starting a blog?
I'm still not super serious about it simply because I don't have the time to dedicate myself to it like I'd like to.

What was your first post?
My first post was indicating why I'm starting Project Pan and my rules.

What has been your biggest challenge about blogging?
I'm having a hard time keeping track of everyone's blogs. How do you guys do it? Advice?

Where do you see your blog in one year?
I'm not sure but hopefully at 200 followers. I might have to give it up though.

What is the most rewarding thing about blogging?
I love reading everyone's comments! I like to see other's people's opinions as well.

What is the most discouraging thing that happens to you?
Honestly, making time to read other people's blogs. I really need to find a way to do it.

What's your lasting impression or motivation?
I really want to save money to buy a house, and now afford a wedding. I love seeing everyone's comments and love other people's opinions on products.

Any advice you guys can give me on trying to manage my time? What about you? How did you get started?

Eighteenth Product Completed: La Roche Posay Lipikar Syndet

Hi everyone. I sort of back but will not be able to pay full attention to my blog. Since my absence I have finished my La Roche Posay Lipikar Syndet Cleansing Body Cream- Gel. This cleanser is great for extremely dry, irritated skin subject to itchiness. I had a few incidents with getting itching fits this past week so I had to use this cleansing gel. Although it's great for stopping itching, it's kinda boring because there is no scent (which makes sense). I really only use this when I need to.

Overall, I would definitely repurchase this product. It has always proven to be an excellent solution during my times of need. If you have extremely sensitive skin, or have an allergic reaction to something, I highly recommend you try this.

Why I've been MIA

Hi everyone!

I've been kind of MIA the past week because there has been a lot of chaos in my life. Once everything calms down again I promise to commit more time here. I miss checking out your posts.

In short:

Work has been busy.
I'm engaged.
I got a new puppy.

Lush Bath Bomb in Cinders

I haven't finished anything in about a week and felt a little down so I decided to use one of my bath bombs. I save them for special days :P I used my Lush Cinders bath bomb.

This is was it initially looked like:

This product uses cinnamon leaf oil which gives a bit of a spicy, fruity scent if that makes sense at all. As soon as I place it in the tub it began to erupt and did so very quickly. It gave the water in the tub a warm yellow glow.

I will warn you though, you will be scrubbing the tub when you're done because it did leave a bit of a yellow film. Overall, this was a great product. Too bad Lush doesn't sell it right now.

What's your favourite spicy scent?

Making Your Perfume Last Longer

For those of you that aren't aware, I did a guest post for Jenna at The Chic Cupcake. You should definitely check out her blog! It's quite a bit different from what I normally post. Let me know what you think.

Here's the post:

Making Your Perfume Last Longer.

There’s nothing worse than spritzing yourself with perfume in the morning only for it to be gone by noon. Here are some tips to keep your favourite scent on you without it being over-bearing.

  1. Layer Your Fragrance! Is there a matching shower gel and body lotion for your favourite perfume? Use them. This way not only is your fragrance not being mixed with any other scent, it is giving it layers. Sometimes perfume doesn’t come with a matching set. No worries! Try and find products that have similar notes. For example, if you favourite fragrance is Jessica Simpson’s Fancy Love, try a vanilla body wash and moisturizer.

  2. Find the Hot Spots! The scent of perfume on your skin is activated by warmth. Because of this you want to apply your fragrance where your veins are most visible. These places include your:
    • Neck
    • Bust
    • Inner elbow
    • Inner knee
    • And wrists

  3. Bring Back-Up! Make sure to carry an atomizer with you that is filled with your scent. Touch up through-out the day when you find the scent is fading.
Now you’re ready to strut your stuff and have a beautiful scent follow you. Be careful though! Don’t spray too much as it can be over-powering and end up being offensive to some people.

What perfume are you planning on wearing on Valentine’s Day?

I think I’m going to go with my favourite- Chanel Chance Eau Tendre.

Project Pan: Seventeenth Product Completed: Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner

Hi everyone. I've kind of disappeared the last few days because I've been quite busy and away for work. I won't be able to catch up to everyone's blogs over the last few days but going forward I will do my best :)

While on my trip I managed to finish my Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner with Tamarind and white nettle. This product claims to eliminate impurities and dull skin, while leaving it smooth, soft and bright. The fruit acids from the tamarind extract are what helps to eliminate the impurities and dead skin cells. It also helps to boost cellular renewal. Meanwhile, the white nettle extract helps to tighten pores.

Overall I think this is a great product for ladies who are a bit too lazy to exfoliate regularly and helps to brighten and even the complexion. This is not a toner you would use consistently but rather an alternative a few times a week. I would repurchase this product.

Only three more products to go!

What is your go-to product for those lazy days?

The Boredom Tag

Yesterday I was tagged by Annabelle at Beauty & Lifestyle to do the Boredom Tag. So let's begin.

Let's start off with your relationship status?
I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years. This is a picture of us when we first started dating. As you can tell, we are losers. We originally took this picture to send to my sister and make fun of her Facebook pictures.

Is the last person you kissed also the next person you'll kiss?
I would hope so :)

Have you ever done something you told yourself you wouldn't do?
I always tell myself that I'm going to stop eating junk food. I'm sure you know how that went.

Have you ever fallen asleep in school?
Oh yes multiple times. I actually fell asleep once in an International Marketing class and I actually enjoyed that class. I was just super exhausted and my blood pressure was really low.

Who's the biggest douche bag you know?
I'm gotten all those people out of my life finally. Let's not reminisce.

Do you have any siblings over the age of 21?
No, I am the oldest and my younger sister is 16. This is an old picture of us.

Are you missing anyone/ something?
I miss my grandfather. He's been gone 1 year 2 days go.

What do you usually do right when you wake up?
Check the time to see if I can hit snooze.

Would you rather have orange juice or milk with your breakfast?
Can I pick coffee? No? Orange juice it is.

Once a cheater, always a cheater?
Yes. If you've been accepting of doing it in the past, it will happen again. History has a tenancy of repeating itself.

Ever sat on someone's lap because there were no more seats available?
Yup, back in high school. More recently we put a friend of mine in the trunk of my smart car. It's a hatchback, no need to get overly worried.

What are you sick of?
The cold. It's been freezing lately. I just want it to end.

How many days until your next birthday?
Are you really going to make me count? Sigh. 175.

Do you think you are a good person?
I wouldn't consider myself a "good" person only because I have high standards for that word.

Have you made a mistake this past week?
I forgot to attach a document in an email to a client. Oops.

How many piercings do you have and what are they?
My ears are pierced once each. Nothing too interesting.

Do you believe what comes around goes around?
No, I believe what goes around comes around. Sorry, pet peeve of mine.

Why did you last cry?
Just remembering my grandfather.

Are you happy with your life?
I'm content with my life. I'd like much more from it.

How would your parents react if you got a tattoo?
They'd be upset at first but eventually learn to kind of deal with it.

What's something you need to do?
Start making more time to workout.

Ever wished you could freeze time at a specific moment in your life?
Just like Annabelle, while I'm sleeping so I can sleep longer. This is me falling asleep on the couch with the dog.

What can you hear?
A coworkers conversation with a customer.

How do you feel right now?
Pretty good actually. Just waiting until I can go home.

What would make you happiest right now?
If I could teleport home and not try to fight the weather conditions.

Okay, it's your turn to do this tag. Either post this tag on your blog and comment with the link below or just answer these questions below. I can't wait to read your answers!

Project Pan: Sixteenth Product Completed: Oscar Blandi Invisible Voluminzing Dry Shampoo Spray

It's that time again! I finished another product towards my Project 20 Pan. The product I finished was the Oscar Blandi Invisible Voluminzing Dry Shampoo Spray. Oscar Blandi describes this products as being able to cleans the hair without water, instantly boost volume, be great for all hair colours, and spray clear.

I have to admit, it did do most of those. The problem? It didn't cleanse my hair/ my hair still looked oily. I tried repeatedly to get this to work because I wanted to love it but it just didn't get the job done. Needless to say, I will not be repurchasing this product again.

Project Pan: Fifteenth Product Complected: Vichy Aqualia Antiox Anti- Fatigue Ice- Effect Eye Stick

Good afternoon! It's been quite some time since I finished anything but after the long delay I finally finished my fifteenth product towards my project pan this morning. The product I finished was the Vichy Aqualia Antiox Anti- Fatigue Ice- Effect Eye Stick. Long name, I know. This product claims to reduce dark circles and puffiness and give your eyes a fresher, brighter look. It contains Vitamins C and E, and Citrus Polyphenol.

This is what the product initially looked like:

But after much use and travelling this is how it looks now:

Although I did enjoy how cool and fresh this made my eyes feel in the morning (especially after late nights) I don't think it did much for my dark circles or puffiness. It did soothe my tired eyes though. This product has been discontinued and therefore I would be unable to repurchase this. Regardless, I still probably would not unless I was still studying.

On another note, my life has been crazy busy lately and I've been really tired and stressed out. This is what was delivered to my office Friday. It was a nice surprise.
Everyone was asking if it was my birthday, anniversary, etc. Truth is, it wasn't. My boyfriend is just a sweet heart :)

What's your favourite way to soothe tired eyes?

  22. I used to love to play Super Smash Bros. N64 was my favourite version, and Samus was my favourtie character. That girl kicks butt!

Project Pan: Fourteenth Product Completed: Natural Instincts Color Treat Conditioner

Hello! This morning I finished my fourteenth product towards my project pan. While taking a shower this morning I finished another conditioner. Normally it takes me forever for me to finish a conditioner. The conditioner I finished was the Natural Instincts Color Treat. This is always the conditioner I use the first few times I wash my hair when I first dye it. The colour lasts and my hair feels nice and soft. It also smells nice :)

The only problem with this conditioner is you can't buy it separately! It comes in the pack with the dye (when I've been brave enough to do it myself). I would repurchase this again if it was sold separately otherwise I'll just have to wait until I dye my hair again. Luckily I do still have another one :)

Temptation Alert! Clarins Gift with Purchase

Temptation Alert! I am very tempted to cheat on my project pan right now. Why? Because there is a Clarins Gift with Purchase going on until the 20th!!

As I'm sure many of you are aware, I love Clarins skincare so this promotion is ideal for me. However, I don't think I'll be able to finish multiple products in 3 days (I shall hope though!).

The three gifts that you get to choose from are:

  • Trendy
    • Red Bag
    • Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed (Normal to Combination skin types)
    • Instant Eye Makeup Remover
    • Body Shaping Cream
    • Black Mascara

  • Urban
    • Beige Bag
    • Gentle Refiner Exfoliator

I can see the Natural being the most popular but I think I'd choose the Trendy.Which gift would you choose?

Project Pan: Thirteenth Product Completed: Bikini Zone Anti-Bumps Shave Gel

Good morning! Today I finished my thirteenth product towards my project pan. I finished my Bikini Zone Anti-Bumps Shave Gel. I seem to be finished a lot of bath products this time around for project pan. This product was a decent shaving gel but I don't necessarily agree that it helped or prevented bumps or irritation more so than any other shaving gel. Personally I prefer a cream.

This product was very inexpensive and convenient to find, however I don't think I would repurchase this again. It really wasn't anything special. If you're just looking for a cheap, basic shave gel this is fine but it's just not right for me.

Project Pan: Eleventh and Twelfth Product Completed: Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky Shampoo and Conditioner

Good evening everyone. I'm not sure how I managed this but I completed both my eleventh and twelfth product towards my project pan. I finished a shampoo and conditioner from the same set!! I know! What are the odds? The products I finished were the Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky Shampoo and the Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky Conditioner.

Shampoo: I liked the smell of this shampoo and the way it lathers in the shower. I gets rid of all the grit from my hair products and still gets rid of my dandruff. It leaves my hair soft all for a great price!

Conditioner: Again, this smelled nice and spread well in my thick hair. Every time I go to the hairdressers I get my hair thinned out. So to have a product that actually glides through it when it's thick from growing back  I'm happy. This did make my hair a bit smoother and it helped to detangle. This was also reasonably priced.

Would I purchase these again? Probably not. Only because I like trying out new shampoos and conditioners all the time.

What's your favourite shampoo and conditioner?

Project Pan: Tenth Product Completed: Biotherm Biocils Lash Optimizer

I haven't had a lot of time to make any posts lately due to work being really busy. However, two nights ago (I know, I know) I finished my tenth product for my project pan. While removing my eye make-up I finished my Biotherm Biocils Lash Optimizer. I have already reviewed this product in my post called Reviews and Dupes from My Most Expensive Face- Skincare Edition.

Basically, it was a fairly good waterproof eye makeup remover but I don't know how well it "conditions" my lashes exactly. It's dual phased meaning you have to shake it before you use it. It was slightly oily but I always wash my face after anyways so it wasn't a big deal for me. For $31 I would not repurchase this product simply because there are cheaper options that are just as good.

I'm half way done my project 20 pan! Only 10 more items to go!

Have you tried this eye makeup remover before? Did you find that it helped your lashes?

Lush Bath Bomb in Phoenix Rising

After a long few days back at work after the holidays I decided to treat myself to yet another bath. I decided to use my Lush Bath Bomb in Phoenix Rising. It has a wonderful scent (apple and cinnamon) that helped to wake me up.

This is what it looks like:

Immediately when I put it in the water it began to fizz and consume the water. I love that it sunk to the bottom and seemed to erupt. I guess that's why it was called Phoenix Rising.

This was the final result. My purple bath.

I would definitely repurchase this product again. It melted fast, had a great scent, and was entertaining :)

Have you tried this product before?

Project Pan: Ninth Product Completed: Zeno Hot Spot Blemish Clearing Device

I seem to be on a roll. Last night I tried to use my Zeno Hot Spot Blemish Clearing Device only to find out that I had already completely used it up. You're probably thinking "How did you not know it was done?". Well that's because it's a device and not a cream or lotion. You only get 80 uses out of it, so it's hard to keep track. I was pretty disappointed to see this go as it was quite expensive. It's regular price is $50, but I got it for $39.99 (still not cheap!). This product claims to use heat to kill bacteria that causes blemishes and yet still be gentle on the skin. It only claims to work on break outs and not cystic acne, so be weary.

I'm not sure if it's all in my head but I feel like this helped to reduce my pimples caused by every woman's favourite time of the month. I felt it reduced healing time. When using this product be sure you follow the instructions that indicate only using it every 3 hours. I made the mistake of trying to do one treatment right after I had just finished and I had a mark for a while. Do I think this is a miracle product? No. Would I buy this again? Probably. Mostly because I've never found anything else to help reduce my time of the month break-outs quite the same.

What's your favourite way to reduce break-outs?

Project Pan: Eighth Product Completed: Olay Silk Whimsy Moisturizing Body Wash

Last night I took a shower and finished my eighth product. The product I finished was the Olay Silk Wimsy Moisturizing Body Wash. It has a light floral scent (rose) that made me feel super feminine. I actually like to top this body wash with my Chanel Chance Eau Tendre eau de toilette. Not only was is a good moisturizing cleanser, it was great for shaving and as a bubble bath.

I like to use this body wash in the winter as it is super hydrating. We can thank the almond oil extract (rich in Vitamin E) for that. In the summer I prefer the shower gel (with the same scent) just because I find it fresher. I would definitely repurchase this product again.

What's your favourite body wash?

Lush Bubble Bar in Christmas Eve

Happy New Year everyone! Today I decided to treat myself to a nice bath using the Lush Bubble Bar in Christmas Eve. I figured I'd start the New Year by relaxing.

This is what is looks like:

I was very excited to try this product as it was very highly rated on Lush's site and is sold out. I loved the jasmine and ylang ylang scent it have off and I felt super moisturized. The only downside to this product was the lack of bubbles or colour.

This product took FOREVER to melt and made very few bubbles. I sat there for quite some time just waiting.

When it was finally done, the water didn't change colour very much. It had just a slight purple tint.

Overall, although it had a nice scent, I would not repurchase this product again. I was hoping for more of a WOW factor in terms of aesthetics. That is why I buy lush bubble bars and baths bombs after all.

What's your favourite Lush Bubble Bar?
